Atrophic Society – Material Object, Audio Injection & Vohkinne – X – AS010

AS010AAS010B

For Atrophic Society’s 10th release, simply titled “X”, Material Object has delved into his archives to uncover a previously unreleased co-production with Audio Injection in the form of “Cwejack”. Effectual and triumphant. marching forward with purpose. A treasure. A perfect fit.
“Grindr”, Material object’s other contribution, takes us to the wild edge of sonic exploration and back again. Music poised to push us into the abyss with acidic snarls and overwhelming drones, a writhing black sea swallowing everything in it’s path.
Married with Vohkinne’s “Vestigial Structures” and “Device One (Risualistic)”, the theme of the EP takes shape. Non-standard music for non-standard people. X marks the spot. Get lost, drown, buried deep. Go beyond.

hoerru001APShoerru001BPS

Longtime friends and production partners Ali Çakır and Soren Jahan launch their new label Hörru with a 4 track EP. Hörru will focus on releasing vinyl from Düve as well as personal projects from Soren, Ali and friends.
Konsekvenser is a reduced house banger for the club, 808 live jam style. Nej takes things a step back and with a little more attitude, saying no to you in the crowd. Uzay Kök is a hard dripping trance exploration. Beluc closes the EP with a dialog between voice, flute and Eliot Bates on the oud.

For the record the artist presents a sonic curation of her work ë.ctu_isbtmí.
Operating in a space between sculpture, code and electronics, the system scans 3dimensional objects via a live video feed and
programmatically encodes the artistís glass sculptures within a language of pitches and rhythms using samples as a transla- tive matrix.
Following samples are used :
0 Basketball, 1 Tennis, 2 Swim, 3 Scubadive, 4 Helicopter, 5 Race, 6 Golf, Index

side A: Codes sounds were produced from rotating black glass objects whose shapes determine
the parameters of a 2d synthesis space.
side B: The resulting sounds are live coded into musical pattern.
Along with Byrke Louís sound piece the physical record features words by AGF.
