For this release, we have a very special cooperation to show off with: CASSEGRAIN & TIN MAN !
CASSEGRAIN are Greek-British producer Alex Tsiridis and Berlin/Vienna based composer and producer Hüseyin Evirgen. With a well developped sensitiveness the duo designs futuristic and dark techno sound- scapes with a strong experimental touch.
TIN MAN is another outstanding artist and the second half of this collaboration. With his releases on Cheap Records, Global A and the Sähkö-sub label Keys of Life he proved well, how easily he can switch between strong classic acid and abstract, postmodern songwriting.
The tracks that resulted from this very special collaboration, are exactly what you might expect: An ideal and unique combination of modern dark techno as it comes from labels such as prologue or stroboscopic artefacts and classic acid. Some of them aim directly at the dancefloor, some come along rather dreamy and spaced out.
Perfect for KILLEKILL.

The debut release on Office Recordings is the first part of a series produced by label founder Baaz.
"In My Mind" is a subtle, shiny piece of jazzyfied house music with a steady rolling groove and dirty kickdrum. "Glim" bangs the box with deep dubs and a sexy vigorous groove. The flip starts with two mind-bending downbeat cuts with a stumbling beat. Last but not least a slowburning remix of "Way Out Citti" by Matthias Reiling (Session Victim, Giegling Recordings) and Björn Astrup who did a brilliant job twisting the original into a soulful homage to the slow side of house
music.

For some time now the Bar25 label has wanted to put out a release with all of our Swiss musician friends - the many folks who came to the Swiss Weekends at the Bar and generally made a habit of visiting us in Berlin. The Bar always had a deep Swiss connection, manifested not least in the legendary Swiss Cabin, home away from home to larger groups of visiting friends and Monday evening after-hour hotspot.
"Alpenglühen - Feines aus der Schweiz" (Alp Glow - Swiss Bliss) is a swanky double vinyl of high-quality production art made in Switzerland. On vinyl 1, Animal Trainer from Hive Audio share a side with Andri, the Zurich native.
Techno gladiator Wandler and live artist Canson play the other side, while vinyl 2 lets two matadors from the new Zurich club Frieda's Büxe - Don Ramon and San Marco - steer for a while. And the two music geniuses from Galoppierende Zuversicht are also here, fittingly, using sounds recorded live at Frieda's Büxe for their track. The sampler concludes with the exceptionally talented Mastra, who contributed a special song to this Swiss musical collage. The digital release also comes with a bonus live track by sublime stage band Rizzoknor.
Even the cover was designed in Switzerland, during a Bar25 night at the legendary Cabaret in Zurich. We're all excited about this release since it's a special one for the 25 label. Marked both by good old times and new horizons, this record is a musical compilation representing the very special kind of artist that will always be welcome in wild Berlin!

ItaloJohnson’s first release in 2012 breaks the standards of the classic 12- inch model with two tracks representing a double A-side on a 10-inch vinyl. This is the first release that’s branded with the ItalioJohnson logo so grab it while it’s hot because stickered copies are limited to 500 vinyl.
The stamped side blows you away with a solid bassline powerful enough to light your ass on fire. Unique FX-sounds, an explicit arrangement and sharp drumming pull the track together.
The flip side provides you with proper house music as the vigorous, repetitive vocal-stabs, a Hells Bells Bass and the fearless 707 drums flow into ItaloJohnson’s trademark sound.
Any questions?

'Warehouse Dew 1-3' are three tracks made for the dancefloor - constantly moving, constantly changing, this is serious house music with a techno edge.
Warehouse Dew pt.1 is a 10 minutes mover built upon a foundation of warm atmospheres, which add extra deepness to this uniquly hypnotic track.
Warehouse Dew pt.2 impresses with a tight funk lick and inventive rhythmic patterns, while
Warehouse Dew pt.3 is the most forward moving of the three tracks, applying Detroit-style chords and shuffling hats over a stomping groove.

Our second release "State of Play" comes from our dear friend Philipp Boston.

Mr Boston delivers a very diverse mixture of different atmospheres and moods, representing his house & techno roots.

The a-side thereby presents the dark side of the moon.
"Switchblade" is a deep, adventurous Techno track which fades in between stripped down, uncompromising rhythms and ecstatic moments, created by a dynamic arrangement of delicately elaborated elements - everything in its right place!

"Enter the B-Truth", the first track on the flipside, as well shows no mercy. Its eclectic rhythmic structure combined with classic vocals and strong rides deliver 7 minutes of euphoric and intense House music.

B2, named "Night Chime" is a deep & psychedelic House track.
It gains a hypnotic depth through subtle changing details, glowing chimes and atmospheric field recordings, but at the same time convinces with powerful low-end frequencies and sharp claps.

The latest release out on separate skills recordings is written and produced by the Israeli protagonists Deep'a & Biri feat. Gene. The promising talents and key figures in the electronic music scene of Tel Aviv have massive support by the most respected legends from Detroit. There is no doubt that these young guys are musically rooted in a direction we call techno with a wide range focus on Chicago and Detroit. Concerning their activities Yaron Deepa, Itai Biri and Gene Adnew are well known artists by now with impressive releases on labels like Upon You, Rotary Cocktail, Circle and Material.

Part Time Dreamers (SSBS001) is the first release on separate skills black series and comes with three excellent tracks. The A Side starts with a dubby sounding offbeat part before the kicks come in with exceptional metallic chords combined with some very nice 707 rimshots. The first track on the flipside has beautiful themes, raw toms and a subtle acid sounding line. A harmonicaly inter -pretation with sough and windy sounds, great deepness and perfect hi-hat settings are given at the last track on that side. A varied record with emotional, timeless and driving soundscapes.

JS is the half of the Rk’s project and one of the minds behind Earth Mothern. For the fifth work of the label he produced a thick EP transfiguration of the dark side of the Earth (Mothern) which points out all his talent.
The first track, When I Met Mary, heavily influenced by the early sound of Berlin and Detroit, is a dancefloorkiller.
OCP rework the track with their bare gross minimalistic blueprint,
mixing and recording on physical electronics as it is mandatory at the
Restoration headquarters.
King Korg’s hypnotic synths and strong beats, pushing on melancholic pads. roll a groove for a savage ride…
The last track, Thinkin Of You is a sweet late night house tune, evocating the skyline of Chicago and Detroit.

Dan D’s second record came into being during Dan’s 2011 summer in Berlin. “Momentos Inesquecíveis” is Portuguese for “unforgettable moments.” This phrase really hits the head on the nail for a summer of intense and inspiring moments. These moments of sunshine and music were then naturally translated into magical studio sessions. All percussion is played live including cow bells, shaker, wood stick, and analog drum machine programming.
Since Dan’s first Geno release it has been a busy year. Dan has been making regular dj appearances in Belgium. Dan has been become a resident of the Audiorama parts at The Wood, Brussels and additional appearances at the Matinee parties in Antwerp. A natural friendship grew from a mutual love of music with the Matinee boyz. A collaboration between Dan D and Ward van den Bogerd aka Veebo (of the Matinee parties). Dan is also continuing his residency in Nuernberg and making several appearances across Europe, especially Berlin.

After a short hiatus Diamonds And Pearls is back with another stunning release by the mysterious EAT. “Rapture” takes you on a twisted disco journey which slowly but surely turns into a grinding acidic trip. On the b-side he heads for headier tropes, dismissing the 4×4 template for a mesmerizing and moody percussive workout somewhere between Monolake and Shackleton & Pinch’s collaboration with the first cut “Sand”, before he unleashes the brooding “Flux” which sports a nasty modulated squelching bassline and the same off-kilter dubstep-feel. DNP and EAT are definitely back – with a bang!

Dan D's second record came into being during Dan's 2011 summer in Berlin. "Momentos Inesquecíveis" is Portuguese for “unforgettable moments.” This phrase really hits the head on the nail for a summer of intense and inspiring moments. These moments of sunshine and music were then naturally translated into magical studio sessions. All percussion is played live including cow bells, shaker, wood stick, and analog drum machine programming.
Since Dan's first Geno release it has been a busy year.

JS is the half of the Rk's project and one of the minds behind Earth Mothern.
King Korg's hypnotic synths and strong beats, pushing on melancholic pads. roll a groove for a savage ride…
The last track, Thinkin Of You is a sweet late night house tune, evocating the skyline of Chicago and Detroit.

DeFeKT/ESS – split EP

A split Ep made up from the two electro projects of Irish producer Matthew Flanagan. The DeFeKT side of the Ep contains 2 tracks ‘Dimension Glider” and ‘CV1′ both tracks offer dark si-fi feel with modular synth Seqs and depth.

The ESS(electronic speech systems) side has 3 tracks of different electro styles and hints at the DeFeKT project. The 3 tracks ‘Coment ELEnin, Substance D and Thermo drive’ are all a little deeper with melodic pads and jams that keep the analog synth feel.

Following up the superb recent GDX release, Austria’s Phlox label teams up with Italian producer Hydergine for a brilliant EP of dub techno featuring a remix from Group Niob.

Austrian label Phlox was launched in 2009 by electronic music veterans Martin Sovinz and Gerhard Potuznik with the clear intend of releasing quality underground music with little regard for genre. In the intervening years the imprint has put out a string of outstanding singles and build a solid fan base for its eclectic approach.

The latest release from Phlox sees the label teaming up with young producer Roberto Corizzo AKA Hydergine for a follow up to his debut 2011 single on Separate Skills. Corizzo hails from Southern Italy where he has immersed himself in electronic music from an early age, forging a love of dub techno guided by the sounds of Basic Channel, Maurizio etc. Now he sits among Italian contemporaries such as Lucy & Decoside as a respected proponent of Italy’s burgeoning deep techno scene.

The ‘Cosmic Synegism’ single offers up three brand new original tracks from Corizzo in the shape of ‘Quadrant System’, ‘Perpetual Moon’ and title track ‘Cosmic Syngerism’. The three cuts each delve into the hypnotic realm of deep and dubby techno, dripping with tape delay and bordered by razor sharp percussion they are a brilliant example of quality techno, lovingly produced. The package is closed with a superb remix from label bosses Sovinz & Potuznik under their Group Niob moniker, here they take apart ‘Cosmic Synergism’ and rework it into a deep yet intense remix that is a perfect closing piece.

This is another sterling single from a label who can be looked to for quality with each and every release.
